I live in central Illinois with my husband of 42 years. This is my sixth year as an empty nester and crafter. I spend my spare time scrapping, creating cards, and making mixed media projects. I discovered that I found a hobby I love because I'm a disorganized perfectionist. I belong to a stampers club and look for classes on art techniques.
I love challenges and enter them as often as time allows. My personal challenge to myself is to Pile It On--to see how many challenges I can enter with just one piece of art.
I have had the good fortune to be selected for design teams. I currently am on the Gecko Galz design team and regular columnist for Unruly PaperArts. Previous terms were with Queen Kat Designs, Pages In Time, Bella Creations, Gingersnap Creations,and the Flying Unicorn.
I've tried my hand at some swaps. It's fun sharing art with friends in cyberspace. I belong to the Everything Wendy Vecchi Yahoo! Group. (Wendy is from Illinois so I've had the good fortune to participate in several of her workshops.) Our group makes art with her Studio 490 stamps. So far I've swapped ATCs and birthday cards made with her stamps. I also am a Red Lead Swap Sister. Red Lead is a store in St. Louis, MO. I've swapped ATCs and tags with those sisters.
