Vintage Baby Card
My latest make as GDT for Imagine That! Digis by Kris. Be sure to visit the Imgaine That! Digis by Kris Creative Playground blog HERE for design team inspiration and links to current challenges, the FaceBook page, and the store.
I started with a digital composition background using
Winter Arabesque kit HERE (HERE links you to the item in the store)
Soft Florals digi paper pack HERE (layered inside frame)
I layered on top a sentiment from Little Blessings HERE.
I printed the composition in the lower right corner on white cardstock so that I could trim, score and fold in order to make it into a card.
I also printed an extra butterfly, fussy cut, added pearls and placed on the card for dimension.
I printed 3 times on Stampin' Up Very Vanilla cardstock the outline bassinet from Little Blessings HERE. I fussy cut parts of the bassinet, colored with Copic markers E50 Egg Shell and E31 Brick Beige, and then layered with lace and other trims, half pearls, cording bows, and an enameled letter "B" for baby.
You can see that I cut a special lace to conform to the bassinet outline which I laid over the skirt netting. I followed the ruffle with box pleated trim, softening with some E31.
The stuffed rabbit got a good dousing of Copic E00 skin white as the marker was overfilled. I touched up with the other two markers. The bunny is placed in the bassinet with foam adhesive for a 3-D efffect.
You can see on the close-up how I used the Copics to make a dotted crib sheet and striped bumper pad.
This close-up also shows off that digital frame.
Making use of my "wins" here: I used my Craft-Dee BowZ maker on the beautiful silk ribbon to create a double bow. I adorned it with Prima flowers and a beaded berry spray and a rolled paper flower from The Ribbon Girl.
I finished with antique buttons from my collection.

Baaa
School started this week. It reminds me of the nursery rhyme, Mary had a little lamb...its fleece was white as snow...it followed her to school one day....
This is an ATC I made for the Vera Lane Studio Facebook Group August swap entitled Add a Label.. All digi images are VLS. The lamb and clouds are from the March set. The bottom border is called morning doodle. I used Copics to color. Then I added to the clouds wisps of cottom from a cotton ball. I used a heat gun on Marvy liquid applique, which I sprinkled with glitter, to create wool on the lamb.
The lamb's body is cut twice so that I could layer it with a spring. When touched, it goes boiiiing. I tried to post a video but couldn't upload it to blogger for some reason.

Time for School
Hard to believe this, but school starts here next week....
For some quick notebook covers, I layered several digi papers, added a pre-colored image and a couple embellishments.
TIPS
When creating cover composition, allow room for corners to be rounded.
For matching embellishment, color with a marker, ink or paint (foam star)
Materials Used:
small composition books
Scor tape
large colorful paper clips
Hero Arts flower and a gem from stash to mimic flower on girl's shoes
foam star
Copic marker
The following Imagine That! Digis by Kris sets:

Coloring Page
Coloring books for adults are all the rage. Did you know we just had a National Coloring Book day? I was able to get a few freebie coloring pages from blogs and FB pages.
The one from STAMPlorations is HERE. If you color it, post it, and link it to their blog, you are in the running for their first Coloring Book. Link ups are due in a couple of days. We aren't to make anything with this page just yet. There will be a blog hop later for that purpose.
I have an injet printer. I use Epson Presentation paper matte with Copic markers. The Copics do not run the ink when I print on this paper.
I used a bunch of different Copic colors so I won't list them all. I added Wink of Stella GLDark Pink to the pink flowers. I tried shadowing the flowers so they'd pop off the page. I used a few colors to make the background look like old yellowed paper.
I loved the STAMPlorations blog post featuring all the DT and the different coloring products they used.
My entry is #4 HERE

Happy Birthday to My Sister
Aren't we a couple of cuties? I worked hard to clean up this old photo and make it into a PNG file.
I love the old botannical card combined with a mid-century photo and a very modern hash tag sentiment. (My foot is on the hashtag so you may have missed that little detail.) I had to make sure my sister's feet were anchored to the top of the sign which put me over the hashtag.
Digital Elements:
