I spent the evening making this belated birthday card. It's for the Everything Wendy Vecchi Yahoo! Group Birthday Card Club. So of course, I used some of Wendy's Studio 490 stamps: the flowers and the sentiment. I put the Tim Holtz bird cage die to work, covering the cage with Perfect Pearls and the bird with Broken China distress ink. Patterned papers are from the Pretty Please Spring papers pack by My Mind's Eye. I even dug out my Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic and Scalloped ovals. I finished with some bling and ribbon.
My inspiration was this sketch for the June Card Challenge Week 1 over at Simply Scrapping and Crafts made by SSC Design Team member Amy. Now, to get this in the mail tomorrow..... The birthday girl has been beyond patient waiting for this to arrive.

What a fun card! That bird cage die is one of my favorites and I use it often! Love it!
Love the card and the message. I said it many times while teaching this year! My year went great and had all but 2 pass the mandated state test! =) I have been busing scrapbooking and other things on my blog!
