Alice's Tea Cups

At our Mixed Media Mingle, we tried our hand at embossed strie.  This involves a metal stencil, rubbing alcohol, a Cuttlebug or Big Shot with plates and pads, white card stock, a stencil brush and pigment ink.  For my stencil I chose a stack of tea cups that one of the women brought--sorry I don't know the name of it.  It took a few tries to master the amount of pressure to use to brush on the ink.

This first photo I took in the kitchen in the evening because it started raining outside.

I used blue pigment inks.  Blue is my favorite color.  I love a blue sky and water. I love the power of navy blue.   I look good in navy blue clothes.  My wedding colors were blue.  My dining room wall paper is navy blue and white striped.  I just like blue!

Here is another view where you can see better the blue on the stenciled cups. This one I took outside right as the raindrops started to fall. I think you also can see better the pastel colors on the white card.

Other materials:
Alice from Gecko Galz Wonderland collage sheet
The blue mat is embossed swiss dot
The pastel card base is my scrap paper that I used when applying the pigment ink onto the stencils.  (I made other cards as well, some with pink ink.)
