Sympathy Times Three

It's the 25th which means my turn again at Rogue Redhead Designs, LLC.  Today I used the same image, from the Relish Reading stamp plate, on three different cards.

I needed to make these cards to express our sympathy for the loss of an elderly gentleman who happened to be a local newspaper publisher.  I chose this image because it reminded me of a young man venturing out into the world with his newspaper tucked under his arm.  I also used the op ed piece about him from the local paper for my script background mat and tab.

To learn more about my cards and the stamp plate, please visit my post at Rogue Redhead Designs.

I know several card makers who tell me when they cut their 8-1/2" x 11" paper in half to make a card, they go ahead and use the other half, always making two cards at a time.  Do you make just one card at a time, or while your supplies are out, do you make multiples? I know I often will stamp the image more than once and file away the reserves.  And I've been reading that several of you will make several backgrounds at once, especially when it involves a new technique.  This is the first time I made three cards-- with the same image-- in one sitting.

What a wonderful image- perfectly fitting for your friend. So sorry for your loss too! Love the idea that you used the text about him as a BG. I usually only make one card at a time...but on a rare occasion will make two....

Hi Helene - this image seems so fitting and using the obituary as background is a lovely tribute. For Christmas cards I usually make a few of each card as once the design works it is as easy to do a few 'converyor belt style'. Nicola x

Thoughtful cards. Doing multiples while the supplies are out is something I have recently committed to.

Those are lovely cards Helene and so appropriate for who he was. I have to say I only make one card at a time and never stamp extra images...but then if you saw my craft desk you would understand why... LOL

You don't want to know how many times I do things! I usually stamp just one image or more if I make a mistake, because I never know what These cards are wonderful! Love how you have backed each image. All three so different! Love that plate!
